Anyone else getting Halo 3 Flood vibes from the darkspawn in this game or is it just me?

They've been way too liberal about spoilers in the marketing for this game.

Been burned twice now with spoilers🙄, (I didnt even watch the second half of the original vid) I just might have to go through Ghil to make sure I dont get hit a THIRD friggin time. I've been feeling nothing but joy and excitement for this game, not even the negative comments were getting to me, but I'm now getting a little peeved at the spoilers shown when I'm not even trying to dig for them. This is a current emotion, that I will eventually get over

What spoiler? Everyone with a knowledge of Thedas knew we were facing off against Ghilan'nain and Elgarnon from the end of the game play trailer. Caitie, I believe you identified the two from previous trailers from a couple years ago. Now about the combat, it starting to look like there are simply too many options and special moves. It may be fine for a hyper-caffeinated 12-year old, but I'm 70. I'm worried about that, but I'm still going to get the game. After all, it may not be that bad afterall.

Two of my closest friends have been excited about Veilguard and are trying to go in completely blind with regards to the story and thus have had to skip a lot of the marketing/promotional materials to avoid spoilers, and now they can watch the combat overview without getting spoiled!

This gameplay is reminding me of a mixture of God of War Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16, Tales of Arise, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Hogwarts Legacy, Fenyx Immortal Rising and Dragon’s Dogma 2. All of these games I enjoyed playing. I can’t wait to play Dragon Age Veilguard on my PS5 on Halloween.

I was so upset by the spoiler in the first 30 seconds of the first video I never watched the rest of it. But now I can! Guess in the future I can’t trust BioWare not to ruin their own game but at least we have fans & community pillars who care!

I love how they say it is edited for major spoilers, then spoil it in next sentence 😂. It could mean that the story has way more depth, and that they are confident about the writing.

I think it's important to keep in mind that Gatsi is making his own assumptions here about a lot of things. Like he thinks the artist added the Elven bits, but what if they were there all around? IMO that mural is basically evidence that the "Golden City" is Arlathan in the Fade - that's why it has Elven characteristics (and a lot of stuff associated with Tevinter is probably derived from Elven architecture itself, since the Tevinters basically scavenged the remains of Elven civilization).

Late comment but Celene's words to Briala about how she realized "how smart" Briala is just got me uncomfortable. That's a damn microaggression. I do 100% agree though that in Inquisition the best outcome is to reunite the two, if for no other reason than giving the elves more of a voice.
